Our first T-Ball practice!!

Case had his first T-Ball practice on Thursday night!!
Below are a few pictures of him batting and chasing the ball!

He had a BLAST!!

Case had lots of fun running around, there were times that he was running in the outfield like he was trying to catch butterflies!! I guess that has to do with the fact that he has an attention span of a three year old. HA HA

He enjoyed running in the dugout and sitting on the bench more than playing catch in the outfield. He did bat a few times, each time he hit the ball he ran in the direction his ball went. The coaches were trying to work with the kids to try to get them to throw the bat down and run to first base. It was so cute to watch. Case is the youngest one on his team!! We know it will take time and practice for him to get the hang of it!! It is going to take lots patience on the coaches part. I can't imagine trying to keep TEN 3year-olds focused for an hour of practice, can you??

"Happy 3rd Birthday Case!!"

WOW, Case is THREE...it is incomprehensible that he was once 6lbs 7ozs and wearing preemie clothes!! He has grown up into handsome, respectful, little boy that weighs about 40lbs now!! Our days are filled with so much FUN...his communication skills are improving daily and he says some of the cutest, funniest things you ever heard...there is not a day that goes by that he does not make us laugh from the things he comes up with!! We are so blessed to have him in our lives!! Here are a few pictures from the birthday party!! He had tons of fun and got lots of presents...He is one SPOILED ROTTEN boy!!
Here is Case with cake icing all over his face!
And of course I have to give kudos to Mrs. Connie for making Case's birthday cake...it turned out SO cute..It looks just like Curious George and the Yellow Hat!! She did a wonderful job and it was really yummy too!!
Case putting the butterfly on the log...

Case got it EXACTLY on the right spot...YEAH!! Good Job!!

Case got a butterfly net...one of his favorite gifts!

Then he caught one of his friends Jess!!

What is better than getting the garbage truck you picked out for your 3rd Birthday? Taking it outside and playing in the sand pile with it!!

And after a LONG day of celebrating...everyone needs to take a REST and watch some of your favorite shows on the tube!!

Happy Birthday my sweet boy Case...my wish for you is to have a lifetime of happiness, to love Jesus with all your heart, to reach for your dreams and achieve them, to help people in need and most of all to always know that we LOVE you more than you could ever imagine!!

Windy Day FUN!!

So what is the best thing to do on a windy day? Yep, fly a KITE!!

We enjoyed the beautiful weather we had here today and the boys took advantage of the the windy day to fly Case's "favorite kite"!! This was a first for Case and you can tell from the photos that he really enjoyed having tons of fun flying his "favorite kite" by himself (for the most part anyway) Daddy had to help him at times when the wind gust were really strong!!

Fishing Buddies...

Here are a few pictures of the boys from this past weekend. Trace and I were working on getting a few things finished on the house, when Case spotted the fishing pole and said "Daddy you wanta go fishin'?" Of course who could say NO to that kind of request. They had a great time fishing in the pond next to the house and even though it was pretty windy they made out pretty good. They saved the best for last...this fish was caught on the last cast by Daddy...

Potty Training...

Yes...we are trying to potty train Mr. Big Boy Case!!

Most days Case resists the idea of training by telling me that he will "go tomorrow" or the "I not need to go right now" excuse!! I try several times a day, some times we have success, other times we just have "crying fits" and meltdowns!! Of course there are the occasional accidents that comes with the territory!!

He will turn the BIG THREE in about a month...and I was one of those parents that said we would be diaper free by THREE, but I am not sure my plan will work out just like I dreamed it would...and that is okay! I keep hearing the stories that he will not go to kindergarten in DIAPERS!! I have read articles on the readiness signs, how to reward him...not to criticize his actions but just reinforce his good behaviors...get a "cute" potty chair (not sure that would appeal to him)...but maybe if was in the shape of a Tractor...now that might work!!

The frustrating thing for me is that Case is a very intelligent child...so I know that he understands the concept...I just think he is not ready...or maybe I am not ready... It is a big step into boyhood...and it is hard to imagine that our sweet lil baby turned toddler is on the verge of BOYHOOD.

Really, where does the time go?

SNOW and TRACTOR MEMORIES!!

Case got to see his first SNOW today...we had about 3 to 4 inches fall. There were snow flurries falling at 6:30am and it continued until about 11am. We had already planned a special day today for Case...a TRACTOR show and pull in Winona, MS. So we headed out to the tractor show with the hopes that there would still be snow on the ground when we returned...and there was still lots of SNOW everywhere when we returned!! We had lots of fun making a snowman, snowballs and just playing in the snow!! There still might be snow tomorrow, it is expected to get really cold tonight. Here are some pictures of our fun today...including a few shots from the tractor show...ENJOY!!

Do you heart Curious George??

Case does!!

Case loves to watch George...Curious George that is!! Here are a few snapshots of him enjoying his George doll and chair that BoDene got for him before Christmas. Curious George is very educational...maybe that is where Case learns to do somethings that surprise us when he does them...

Like the other day when I was at work and called Trace's cell to check in on them and Case answered Trace's phone.

Converstation went something like this...

"Helwo"

"Helwo"

I reply"Hey Case"

He answers "Hey Mommy"..."I watching George"..."Do you know wheres my Daddy is?"

I answer..."No Case I don't know where your Daddy is... Where is your Daddy Case?"

Case..."I not know"

I ask "What are you doing?"

Case.."Talkin"

Then I hear Trace in the background..."What you doing Case?"

Case..."Talkin to Mommy"

Trace "Really?"

Case "Here you go"...Case hands the phone to Trace.

Trace thought Case was pretending to talk on the phone until he looked down at his phone to see connected to Lorna's cell. Trace and I then talk about what just occurred...and we are laughing and totally shocked...Case is now answering the phone!!

So when you call...you might just get a "Helwo" "Helwo"

Spoiled Rotten!!

Yes, that would be Case!!

He was blessed with Christmas presents from family and friends...

Nanny Lynna spoiled him with a new radio flyer scooter, a golf set, a play-doh set (Mommy is not happy about that one!!), all sorts of Thomas the train stuff and a new John Deere dvd. Mr. Ronnie Dale bought him a John Deere ornament for the tree. Mr. Morris and Mrs. Peggy got him a cool remote control truck that does all sort of cool turns and flips!! Dee and MeMe got him a drill and a neat hard hat with a light on it!! MaDene bought him a cool John Deere blanket, John Deere book and a John Deere dvd. Gram Gram and Granddaddy got Case a Craftsmen tool bench with all sorts of tools, a John Deere piggy bank and a neat John Deere tray with a picture of a tractor in it!! Aunt B brought him a big purple squishy ball. Mrs. Sandy and Mr. Jay got him a dump truck!! Aunt Dee Dee and her gang got Case a mini dump truck and a John Deere tractor. Jess, Mrs. Tammy and Mr. Donnie got him Woody from Toy Story...Mrs. Becky, Bryce and Calah got him a new flashlight in the shape of a horse. Nanny MaryAnn and Papaw got him a Curious George clock!! The list goes on. and on...do you get my hint!!

Case is LOVED by so many friends and lots of family!!! He is such a blessing to everyone that knows him...they all do more for us than we could ever imagine or deserve!! We are blessed to have such a great support group around us that we call our FAMILY and our FRIENDS!!
Here a few snapshots of Case enjoying getting SPOILED!!

Merry Merry Christmas!!

We had a wonderful Christmas morning...

Case thought we were having a party...as he opened gifts he would ask "what is it?" and then say "were having a party!!" You could see the excitement all over his face...

He got tools, a tee ball set, tractor books, more tractors, a wheel loader, an excavator, and building blocks!! Santa left his four-wheeler in the kitchen...we guessed he knew how excited Case would be to get it!! He played with all of the other toys Santa left, then went to read the thank you note Santa left for the milk and cookies, that is when he found his four-wheeler!! He loves it!! Believe it or not he actually mastered driving the four-wheeler within a few minutes and can use reverse as well!! He makes loops around the house faster than you can blink an eye!! We hope that each of you had a wonderful Christmas too!! Enjoy the pictures!!

Anticipation...

The big day is drawing near...Christmas!!

Case is ready for Santa to bring him tools, a wheel loader, an excavator, tractors, and TOYS!!

Here are a few shots from when we decorated the tree...I just love watching Case in such deep thought as the train goes round and round...

Seeing Christmas this year through his eyes has been such a magical experience!! We are looking forward to Christmas morning when we see his reaction to Santa and his gifts!!

Our Christmas wish for each of you is that the Lord will shower you with love that warms your heart, hope that lights you way, and joy that fills your home throughout the year.

Have a blessed "Christ-filled" Christmas!!
Love,
The 3 of US

Can you sleep standing up?

Case can!!

He was upstairs in the playroom playing with his tractors and watching "All about John Deere" when I thought it sure was too quiet for him... So, I decided I needed to run up and check up on him only to find him sleeping standing up behind the couch cushion!!

Of course I ran to get my camera, snapped a few pictures for the Kodak moment, then laid him down on the couch to sleep comfortably. Case has fallen asleep in odd places before...but never standing up!!

Isn't this just too cute?
