Spoiled Rotten!!

Yes, that would be Case!!

He was blessed with Christmas presents from family and friends...

Nanny Lynna spoiled him with a new radio flyer scooter, a golf set, a play-doh set (Mommy is not happy about that one!!), all sorts of Thomas the train stuff and a new John Deere dvd. Mr. Ronnie Dale bought him a John Deere ornament for the tree. Mr. Morris and Mrs. Peggy got him a cool remote control truck that does all sort of cool turns and flips!! Dee and MeMe got him a drill and a neat hard hat with a light on it!! MaDene bought him a cool John Deere blanket, John Deere book and a John Deere dvd. Gram Gram and Granddaddy got Case a Craftsmen tool bench with all sorts of tools, a John Deere piggy bank and a neat John Deere tray with a picture of a tractor in it!! Aunt B brought him a big purple squishy ball. Mrs. Sandy and Mr. Jay got him a dump truck!! Aunt Dee Dee and her gang got Case a mini dump truck and a John Deere tractor. Jess, Mrs. Tammy and Mr. Donnie got him Woody from Toy Story...Mrs. Becky, Bryce and Calah got him a new flashlight in the shape of a horse. Nanny MaryAnn and Papaw got him a Curious George clock!! The list goes on. and on...do you get my hint!!

Case is LOVED by so many friends and lots of family!!! He is such a blessing to everyone that knows him...they all do more for us than we could ever imagine or deserve!! We are blessed to have such a great support group around us that we call our FAMILY and our FRIENDS!!
Here a few snapshots of Case enjoying getting SPOILED!!

Merry Merry Christmas!!

We had a wonderful Christmas morning...

Case thought we were having a party...as he opened gifts he would ask "what is it?" and then say "were having a party!!" You could see the excitement all over his face...

He got tools, a tee ball set, tractor books, more tractors, a wheel loader, an excavator, and building blocks!! Santa left his four-wheeler in the kitchen...we guessed he knew how excited Case would be to get it!! He played with all of the other toys Santa left, then went to read the thank you note Santa left for the milk and cookies, that is when he found his four-wheeler!! He loves it!! Believe it or not he actually mastered driving the four-wheeler within a few minutes and can use reverse as well!! He makes loops around the house faster than you can blink an eye!! We hope that each of you had a wonderful Christmas too!! Enjoy the pictures!!

Anticipation...

The big day is drawing near...Christmas!!

Case is ready for Santa to bring him tools, a wheel loader, an excavator, tractors, and TOYS!!

Here are a few shots from when we decorated the tree...I just love watching Case in such deep thought as the train goes round and round...

Seeing Christmas this year through his eyes has been such a magical experience!! We are looking forward to Christmas morning when we see his reaction to Santa and his gifts!!

Our Christmas wish for each of you is that the Lord will shower you with love that warms your heart, hope that lights you way, and joy that fills your home throughout the year.

Have a blessed "Christ-filled" Christmas!!
Love,
The 3 of US

Can you sleep standing up?

Case can!!

He was upstairs in the playroom playing with his tractors and watching "All about John Deere" when I thought it sure was too quiet for him... So, I decided I needed to run up and check up on him only to find him sleeping standing up behind the couch cushion!!

Of course I ran to get my camera, snapped a few pictures for the Kodak moment, then laid him down on the couch to sleep comfortably. Case has fallen asleep in odd places before...but never standing up!!

Isn't this just too cute?

Bubbles of FUN

Well I guess you can tell from the pictures that Case added just a wee bit to much bubble bath!!

But he had tons of fun playing in the tub with the outcome-bubbles galore!! Of course we laughed and laughed watching him have so much FUN!!

BTW...This is the first time that he recognized that his fingers get wrinkled when stays in the water for too LONG!! That was fun explaining that predicament after he inquisitively asks "what happen to my singers (fingers)?"

Truly Thankful...and Truly Blessed!!

Case is growing up so FAST!!

I often wonder where the time has gone...it seems like just yesterday we brought his tiny little newborn self home!! I look back at pictures from that wonderful time in our lives and it reminds me how truly blessed we are!! There are times I have to make myself remember our life before him. Case has a way of wrapping his heart around yours. He is just so darn LOVEABLE!! He has always had such a wonderful personality and dispostion. There is not a person we have yet to encounter that doesn't notice how loving of a child he is. It makes me proud to know that he has blessed so many people with his smiles, his hugs and his kisses!!

As Thanksgiving quickly approaches, this time of year gets more and more special to me. I guess I am getting a little sentimental in my "old" age, but I really think that life could not get much better than this!! Trace and I have so much to truly be thankful for...our faith, our families, our health, our jobs...but most of all CASE!!

You see...God truly answered our prayers by blessing us with Case and without J and J's love and sacrifice, Case would not be a part of our lives and we could not enjoy the wondeful blessing of being his parents!!

So for that we are truly thankful, and because of it we are truly BLESSED!!

"I don't like that Scarecrow!!"

We went to visit a pumpkin patch a few weekends ago... of course Case enjoyed it...especially the farm equipment!!

If it were not for the farming equipment...it would have been a bummer of a trip for him. He is not really interested in pumpkins!! You know how he loves TRACTORS and this pumpkin patch had them and more!! He got to see a "Big Harvestor" which he is still talking about. Case even saw a hay baler that was in operation and it dumped a bale of hay...he thought that was so neat!! He was able to sit on all sorts of tractors...small, big, green, red and even the kind that has his name on them!!

Case got to play in a corn box...instead of a sand box. He and Trace had a blast playing in the corn. They buried each other and laughed and laughed. It was so much nicer than SAND!!

Case enjoyed everything about the trip except for the "Scarecrow". It was a Grandmother dressed like a scarecrow, and he was not too keen on her walking anywhere close to him!! We even asked her to remove her hat and let him see she was a grandma, but that still did not work...he still says til this day "I don't like that scarecrow"!!

Hope you enjoy the pictures from our adventure...

Can you say DIRT TRACK RACING???

We went to visit Gram Gram, Granddaddy and Kip two weekends ago. We all had a wonderful time and I think Case really enjoyed the trip!! He is still talking all about it two weeks later!!

Of course traveling with 2.5 year old is not to much FUN...for those of you who forgot those times let me reassure you that it is not fun hearing "I want out of my car seat" or "I NEED out" or the best one yet and the one that of course gets our attention the most "my back hurts"!!

We have tried all sorts of methods on diverting Case's attention like a DVD player, books and toys. The only sure way of a peaceful trip is to travel while he sleeps...but a with a four hour car ride to Gram Gram and Granddaddy's you are going to have some time when he will be awake. Don't get me wrong, Case is a wonderful child and usually easy going...He is full of energy, so just don't restrain him in a car seat for more than 30 minutes and you will have a GREAT road trip!! Now that I got that out of the way...here is a snapshot into our weekend!!
We had a great time riding the "Gator" as Case calls it (even though it is red and has the word Kawasaki written on the side of it) to see his Great Great Aunt B. Of course we are not too sure that her nerves will be able to handle another visit!! Case loves to jump off of anything and everything he can, so needless to say he jumped right off right off Aunt B's patio table, he did not hurt himself by no means...he is tougher than a lighter knot, but that was enough for Aunt B suggest we go inside. Well inside is not where Case wanted to be...so of course he is "ready to go". So we had to cut our visit with Aunt B short, but hopefully next time we will have more time to spend with her...she is such a sweet loving person who reminds me so much of Trace's Granddaddy Dub that I want to get to know her better!!
That evening we got ready to go to the dirt track to watch Kip race!! Case was so excited, and from the pictures I know that you will see it too!! Case is such a helper, so I think next time he will definitely have mud scraping duties...because he says "i do it myself"!! I was surprised that the noise did not bother him at all...he even got to ride in the golf cart around the track while they were packing the dirt!! Of course Case is SPOILED!! If you were wondering...yes it is true...and we KNOW it!! But what can I say...it was bound to happen sooner or later right? Grandparents have a way of doing that, some tell me it is their job!!
Oh, and one last note...there is nothing like watching dirt track racing in person, unless you know the child racing in the car is your nephew, then you are a bundle of nerves and on the edge of your seat in pure excitement and shear terror!! We had a blast and can't wait to see Kip race again next year!!
I hope you enjoy the photos from our weekend getaway!! There is nothing that compares to spending time with family, even if it is just for the weekend...

Just the beginning...

I know that it is inevitable...that Case is growing up...but today's events made me realize that we are going to experience many days like today!!

It was a great day, Case and his friend Rhys spent the day together playing tractors and Thomas the train, running around the house playing hide and seek, eating the same things for lunch and most of all just enjoying each others company. The boys haven't seen each other all summer, so today was good for both of them. They are six weeks apart, Rhys the younger and they have pretty much been around each other since they were a few months old.

Surprisingly to me we did not have one fight over a toy, or anything of that nature...they just sat in floor playing and hanging out in one of Case's favorite spots...the playroom!! They conversed about all sorts of things while they played and their imagination was seen in all sorts of scenarios...from playing "pow" with a plastic screwdriver and a hammer (it is amazing that boys will be boys and find anything to play "pow" with) to reading books to each other in the floor. It really was great to watch...

So, today's events just have me pondering this afternoon...that this will be the norm before long...Case will have friends over to play , spend the night, and some that will go and do all sorts of things together with us.

Through the years Case will have a few that friends that he will experience great memories with and cherish them and the memories they make for a lifetime...you know those friends that you call your "best friends"

Today I think I witnessed the beginning of one of those friendships...with Rhys.

Do you ever wonder what he dreams about??

Well I can guess a few things...but if I had only one guess to choose from it would be...

TRACTORS!!

BTW...If you did not know it already Case is crazy about TRACTORS!!

This is the way I found him taking his nap yesterday afternoon. And all I could do was smile and think...he fell asleep playing with his tractors...I went to get my camera and had a thought...is he dreaming about playing with tractors, or about riding his motorized tractor around in the yard, or about riding the big orange tractor with his Daddy?

I guess he could be dreaming about all sorts of things...but to know that our little boy loves tractors so much that he keeps them close to him while he sleeps just made me smile inside and out!! But I guess most of all-finding him this way just reassures me that...he is HAPPY, he is LOVED, and he is ALL BOY!!!

What do you dream about??

Take a boy, add water and dirt...you get MUD STOMPING FUN!!!

Case never ceases to amaze me.
He loves the outdoors...and maybe more than that he loves water!!
So if you put the two together...this is what you get!!
A boy having a great time in a puddle of water...need I say more!!

Welcome!

Hello everyone,

Well after much thought...and the fact that Yahoo pictures website is closing down...I had to find another way in which I could keep everyone updated on Case... So here goes a try at blogspot!! You can find your way here by using this web address.
www.ourliljohndeerelovinboy.blogspot.com
With that being said... it is my hope that through this blog I can keep you updated on Case's latest adventures and upload recent pictures as well.

Just a little on Case (since that is why I created this blog)...

Case is TALKING up a storm!!! He just amazes Trace and I daily with his vocabulary!! His reasoning is also extraordinary...just today he found a small light bulb and told me we needed to change out the light in the fan...I told him Mommy can't reach the fan to change the light bulb...he told me... " We can get a ladder to reach it" Remember he is just 29 months!! He is also very INDEPENDENT!! He doesn't mind telling you regularly "I do it myself!!" He also loves to talk on the phone...just ask his Gram Gram...she will tell you that he called her the other day to talk...and he did just that by pressing buttons on my cell phone until he finally dialed a number that happened to be his Gram Gram...then they had a conversation while we were in Wal-Mart. He frequently picks up his pretend cell phone to call his Daddy at work, or his Nanny, and his Ma Dene.

He has really adjusted well to the new house...even though he still will not sleep in his own bed!! We are still trying, but rarely get more than a few nights where he will sleep by himself. Case still loves the outdoors and regularly attempts to get out there in this extreme HEAT!! Just the other day, I opened the door to take some garbage out, before I knew it he had on his crocs and was out the door, on his motorized john deere tractor and riding around on the driveway...within 15 minutes he was beet red and sweating bullets!! I told him it was time to come in, it was to hot out here...the told me "I not too hot...I ride my tractor...I not go inside...I not hot out here" It is hard to reason sometimes with a two year old...but Mommy knows best!!

Well it is my hope that you have enjoyed hearing about us and and you will continue to visit this blog to catch up on the latest going on with us!!

Here are a few recent pictures of Case...
