"It's a beautiful day"

Case has been saying this for the past few weeks!!
And he is so right...the last few weeks we have had some beautiful weather. Of course we have been taking advantage of the beautiful weather by spending countless hours outdoors. Case loves it outside and he especially loves riding his four wheeler until the battery goes dead, and when he is not riding his four wheeler we are spending time picking flowers, playing on his swing set and in his sandbox. Yesterday, I took a few pictures of him playing in his sandbox without him noticing...I enjoyed sitting back and listening to him use his imagination building roads and making bulldozer sounds. Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed capturing the moment and watching him play!!

It is official...

We received our approval letter from the adoption agency on March 27th. We are prayerfully and patiently "waiting" again to see what God has in store for our family!! We have been blessed beyond measure with Case and we feel the calling to grow our family again through adoption. Case says he wants a baby sister...so we will see if God grants his request!! Trace and I on the other hand would be happy with a girl or a boy, so we are praying for the birthparents and the baby that God has chosen for us. There are many of you that read our blog now and know our story, so we wanted you to know about our exciting news. But more importantly we are asking you to pray for our family while we wait to see what God has in store for us!!

Thanks for praying for us!!

He's a BIG Boy Now!!

Like the slogan for Pullups...Case is a big boy now!!

We have overcome the potty training woes...Case is potty trained and doing great!! We started working with him cold turkey in regular underwear on March 17th. To my surprise he was READY!! We set a timer every 15 minutes, so it was like a game to him when the timer went off. We reinforced each trip with a TON of praise and a sticker chart . Within a week he had all of it down pat, with very few accidents!! Once he filled up the sticker chart we made a trip to Wal-Mart and he picked out his own reward...which may not surprise you...it was a dump truck that converts into a bulldozer!!

Case now loves to tee tee outside... but what man doesn't enjoy the freedom of exercising that right!! HaHa Just yesterday he was playing outside on his swing set and I looked up to see him pulling down his pants by himself to tee tee on the grass!!

So, I guess all we have to say now is...Welcome to boyhood Case!!

Oh my, how fast they grow-up!!
